New community survey plus other news

Thank you for being part of Say no To Rezone and for helping us to fight the high-density rezoning of 149 acres of woodland between Bivins and Guess Roads! We have been very busy putting up signs, meeting with members of the Planning Commission and reaching out to the City Council. One thing we have learned is that your voice matters. Please help us find out more about what is important to YOU by filling out our new community survey. We’d like to have the first round of results by MAY 22 so please head over to the survey now – and share it widely. It’s short and completely anonymous:

We have learned that the deadline for staff comments on the proposal was extended to May 10 due to the volume of requests being processed by the planning department. Now is the perfect time to comment on the proposal online and write letters to the Planning Commission and City Council if you have not already done so.

We are also planning to host one or more Zoom meetings to share info and get your views on this project. We hope everyone will participate, as this affects all of us. Be on the lookout for an announcement of the date and time in the next week or two.

Finally, we need your help! If you have any time to volunteer, please email us at contact@saynotorezone.com. We need help with research, communications, meeting coordination, outreach and more. No experience is needed, but if you have legal or development expertise, that would be a plus.

Thank you again,
Leo
